DATE: Saturday, July 10, 2010 10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
LOCATION: San Diego Archaeological Center

Escondido-Mom, what's a Tussy Mussy? Dad, what is this brown wooden thing? Grandma, why did you make rag dolls when you were a little girl, can I make one?" Families, youth groups and life-learners are invited to relax and have fun during an old fashion summer day event. Interactive stations will be set up around the Center classroom where participants will have the opportunity to create tussy mussys, rag dolls, scrub clothes on a wooden washboard, punch leather and play games of marbles and jacks. Refreshments reminiscent of past summer days will be available for your enjoyment.
If the temperature is reasonable, a hike to nearby natural and cultural resources will be offered. Bring plenty of drinking water, wear appropriate foot and head gear, and be prepared to have fun. The Center Museum will also be open for further educational and engaging experiences.
Center members will enjoy this event at no charge. A $5 per person or $15 family donation is requested by non-members.
