It’s Robot Time Again! iARoC Competition June 26th and 27th at San Diego County Fairgrounds.
It's robot competition time! iARoC (International Autonomous Robot Competition) 2010 will be even bigger and grander than last year's competition and is scheduled this year for June 26th and 27th at the San Diego County Fairgrounds. Most of the 12 teams that competed last year will be returning this year plus some new teams that have expressed interest. The first prize will be $1,000 cash, second prize $500 and third prize $250.
This year's event will again include the weeklong RoboCamp in San Diego. The camp will run for extended hours the five days preceding the competition (Monday through Friday). Industry professionals will be continuously available to help with robot programming. A full-scale maze will be set up at RoboCamp for realistic trial runs. The RoboCamp is included as part of the $500 registration fee.
Check out www.iARoC.org for videos of last year's event and late breaking news.
All of us at Wintriss Technical Schools look forward to seeing your children at the competition and joining with us in the excitement that only comes from rooting for your favorite robot, with robot brains battling against robot brains in a dash to the finish line!
