GET SSET Journal Entrie 8/12/06

Dear Diary: August 12, 2006

“Today we ate breakfast at the café.  When it was time to go to class Dr. Jani laid out the schedule…  From 9-12 we were working on presentations for everything we’ve done here at the Get SSET program.  Then from 1-2 it’s the time for us to pack and I believe its going to be chaos, because there is stuff everywhere.  The saddest part is from 2-3 where we put our bags in the car ready to leave after presentations.  Last but not least are the presentations to the parents!  Hope you enjoy!!!”

“Overall my favorite excursion of the camp was to Prokids.  Prokids is a non-profit organization located in University City.  Its goal is to teach kids life skills through the game of golf.  I enjoyed Prokids because we got to implement the golf lessons we had learned about at Titleist.  I also enjoyed Prokids because it was really interesting to learn about fun new places in San Diego.
This morning we began working on our final PowerPoint presentations.  I enjoy presentations because I know the skills learned by doing them are important and ones I will use later in life.  Our presentations focused on one aspect of the week.  I chose shoe design because it was a fun contrast of style and science.  Overall, I really enjoyed Get SSET and all it had to offer.”
