Anne Prause Blue lived a happy life as a supportive wife, encouraging mother, generous grandmother and friend to many.  Anne maintained an interest in how children learn after her own four children had become adults.   In the early 90's, she accepted a challenge from Jonas Salk to work in education outreach to build interest in science among children.  To address this challenge, her work with a friend resulted in the prestigious Salk Science Student Day and later similar programs at General Atomics.  Anne encouraged the scientists and engineers at General Atomics to think about how to share their knowledge and expertise with K-12 teachers and their students.  This had a great impact on them and the community at large.  An impact that continues today.  Anne inspired the organization of the General Atomics Science Education Committee and then leveraged resources to help the San Diego Science Alliance get started.  She continued to help us in many ways.  Click here to read more.
