After School Enrichment

SDSA is teaming up to impact students and increase science literary by engaging them in after school hands-on science and technology exploration. The Science Alliance After School Enrichment program is the most recent addition to program offerings by which SDSA continues to fulfill its mission of improving K-12 science education in San Diego County.

Although some local organizations offer STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) after school programs, hundreds of schools in San Diego County have no such program for students. The need for more STEM after school enrichment is real.

By fostering partnerships with after school service providers, the SDSA After School Enrichment program will give K-12 students an opportunity to engage in hands-on science activities that are often lacking from their curriculum.

Our After School Service Providers possess a high level of suitability requirements and go through a rigorous selection process in order to meet the needs of Science Alliance patrons. SDSA continues to serve as the trusted point of access and conduit to the best STEM resources for students, teachers and families.

Current SDSA After School Service Providers

MAD SCIENCE OF SAN DIEGO sparks the imagination and curiosity of elementary school children through exciting, hands-on science programs.  Mad Science conducts after school programs, in class field trips, science days and nights, school assemblies, summer camps and birthday parties.  Currently, Mad Science administers programs in over 200 elementary schools throughout San Diego county.  For more information contact MAD SCIENCE at (858)-505-4880 or at www.madscience.org/sandiego.
