SDSA Program/Resource Comment on this Program/Resource

Atoms to X-rays

Brief Description:
Atoms to X-rays is a series of videos and accompanying on-line supplemental materials that help to highlight the applications of basic principles in the physical sciences. In lectures and demonstrations, UCSD Division of Physical Sciences' researchers discuss their work and how it relates to fundamental scientific principles in chemistry, biochemistry, physics and astronomy. There is a library of longer video programs (half hour to an hour), as well as shorter clips particularly useful for classroom use, to help students see the relevance of the scientific principles they are learning in their courses.
