Brief Description:
The Southwestern College (SWC) biotechnology curriculum is designed to: Train students in the fundamental skills necessary to obtain employment as an entry-level laboratory technician. Meet the primary needs of local employers for a trained employment pool in the area of biotechnology. Offer a new option to students interested in biology. Provide enrichment experiences for transfer students that will enhance their success after transfer. This certificate program can be completed in one year. It also provides CalWorks students with appropriate training to satisfy state and federal requirements.
