Advanced Egyptology

Brief Description:
Go beyond mummies and tombs and step back into the 18th Dynasty to examine the reign of the pharaoh Akhenaten, who briefly changed the social and religious structure of Egypt. Learn why El Armana is important and what makes the Museum’s collections from that city so special. Both the guided tour and workshop include opportunities for hands-on exploration and may include time in the Children’s Discover Center. The workshop includes making the Egyptian game of Senet.
