E3 - Energy Efficiency Education, Secondary Physical Science Curriculum Training at NCREC

Description:
San Diego Unified School District and San Diego County Office of Education have partnered with San Diego Gas and Electric to enhance students’ knowledge of energy efficiency. In the 8th - 10th grade curriculum, students will:

* Learn that some forms of energy are renewable and others are non-renewable

* Gain knowledge about the law of conservation (that energy cannot be created or destroyed)

* Understand that items can be designed to be more energy efficient (i.e., light bulbs, appliances, cars, etc)

* Realize that they can have a positive impact on their community and the planet by making changes to their environment.

All training participants will receive an E3 kit, which includes:
* Curriculum
* Classroom materials (valued at $100)
* Class set of Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs)

Each Training session has space for 25 participants.
* Participants only need to attend ONE training date.
