This two-day SMART™ workshop will be lead by a SMART™ exemplary educator and is intended for teachers who want to master the fundamentals of the SMART™ Notebook software. By the end of the two days you will have learned how to incorporate SMART™ notebook and ideas into you existing curriculum while having the time to prepare lessons and or a unit to be used in your classroom.

Using Apple GarageBand™ Effectively in Your Classroom
Wednesday, July 23, 2008- 9:00am -3:00pm

GarageBand™ has many purposes for educators. Podcasts, soundtracks, musical compositions, sound editing/mixing, as well as the spoken word, are just some of the many uses of this amazing program. There are a number of communities sharing GarageBand™ -made music,
many by and for students. In this beginning workshop, basic instruction will be combined with
project-based exploration, with great flexibility based on individual needs.
** Note: You will need to bring your own Mac laptop to this workshop.

iWeb™ - Create a Webpage for Your Classroom
Thursday, July 24, 2008- 9:00am -3:00pm

Ready to open your classroom to the World Wide Web? In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of iWeb™ and how to best incorporate music, video, photos, and podcasts into your website. This workshop is geared for educators using the Mac platform, with beginner to advanced computer skills. Prior iWeb™ experience is not required. The final outcome of this workshop will be to create a webpage that is functional, informative, and full of pizzazz! .

Beginning SMART™ Interactive White Board Training
Friday, July 25, 2008 - 9:00am -3:00pm

This is a beginning workshop for teachers who are starting to use or who are interested in using a SMART™ Interactive Whiteboard. This workshop will introduce you to SMART™ Board hardware and software. You will learn how to create engaging interactive lessons to meet the needs of your students, as well as find lessons and templates that correlate to the standards. This workshop, appropriate for teachers of all grade levels, will give practical ways on how to keep students focused and engaged while learning key components of the curriculum.
Course fee: $45.00

* Must be a current K- 14 educator
* Comfortable using the Mac or PC operating system.
