The UCSD Young Physicists Program is looking for middle school and high school students and teachers.
The UCSD Young Physicists Program.
The Spring quarter of the UCSD Young Physicists Program is beginning on April 12th with one of our undergraduate laboratories on circuits.
UCSD physics graduate students are looking for middle school and high school students and teachers interested in bringing students to UCSD to engage in a variety of physics centered activities including experiments from the undergraduate physics labs, meeting professors and learning about what they do on the cutting edge of physics research, and seeing the best UCSD has to offer in interactive lecture demos (ILD's).
We meet on one Saturday morning each month, from 9:15 am until 12:15. The schedule is online at http://www.physics.ucsd.edu/~crs/ypp.
Please contact Chris Schroeder(crs@physics.ucsd.edu) if you are interested.
No prior physics experience is required. Our activities and volunteers accommodate students at all levels in small groups of 3 or 4. We do require that students be at least 12 years old.
