A few days left to register for Expanding Your Horizons - please share with your 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls



Expanding Your Horizons Conference for girls in grades 6 - 10, Saturday, April 12, 2008 at The University of San Diego. REGISTER NOW!


We are now accepting reservations from girls grades 6 - 10 to attend Expanding Your Horoizons Conference, Sat. April 12 at The University of San Diego.


Teachers, please share this information with your girls - especially those who are interested in science and engineering!

This year's conference will be held at The University of San Diego on Linda Vista Road. At the EYH conference, 6th - 10th grade girls will attend talks, participate in hands-on workshops, and meet with women scientists and engineers. They will also spend time with other girls who are thinking about their futures. Through these activities the girls will:





• Experience the fun of math, science and engineering





• Learn about math and science-based careers





• Find out about the education required for these professions





• Discover what scientists do in a typical day





• Obtain first-hand information about the lives of women in science and the various paths leading to careers in the sciences.





All registration can be done on line. There is also the opportuity for the girls parent(s) to attend. They will go to a different strand of workshops about college, college admissions etc.





Please note, there is every opportunity for SCHOLARSHIPS for the girls. When they apply, they only need to check the box saying they need their fee waved. It is just that easy.
