E3 - 6th Grade Curriculum Training

Date: 10/15/2008 to 10/15/2008
Time: 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Description:
Start your students' journey to energy efficiency education.

Students will:
* Participate in activities focused on the transfer of heat energy and will apply their learning to make indoor environments more comfortable and conserve energy.

* Demonstrate an understanding of how heat is transferred from the sun by radiation and factors that influence heat transfer.

* Students will demonstrate how the design of a home can influence its energy efficiency.

* Realize that they can have a positive impact on their community and the planet by making changes in their energy use.

Each Training session has space for 15 participants. Participants only need to attend ONE training date.

All training participants will receive an E3 kit, which includes:
* Curriculum
* Classroom materials
* Class set of Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs)
* Professional Development Stipend
