Intel International Science & Engineering Fair awards to San Diego area students

Intel International Science & Engineering Fair awards to San Diego area students...

Congratulations to two San Diego area students who traveled with the Greater San Diego Science & Engineering Fair team to Atlanta, Georgia for the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair.

Ronit Abramson (Canyon Crest HS) won 2nd place ($1500) and a small asteroid named after her at the Grand Awards Ceremony.

Special Awards for two San Diego exhibitors as follows:

* Rui Jin (Scripps Ranch HS) - Scholarship to Florida Institute of Technology worth $12,500 (renewable annually).

* Ronit Abramson - full scholarship to Drexel University... worth over $100,000.00. Ronit also won a 3rd place Professional Society Award of $250 from: North American Benthological Society.
