Registration Fee: Free for students and their parents or teachers; for other attendees, $10 will be charged for lunch.
Included in this year’s Careers Day: Dr Schork will talk about his research, job prospects in his field, what it takes to be successful in it, and what roles statistical geneticists can take on in it; the Panel Discussion will address the job opportunities in statistics, what attributes employers look for when hiring, and how to be successful; awards for winners from the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair; a student poster competition; opportunities to talk with representatives from academia, biotech, computer, marketing, and pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies of the San Diego and southern California areas.
