4th - 6th grade teachers are invited to participate in the Kelp Forest Habitat Workshop at Birch Aquarium.
The Kelp Forest Habitat Workshop is one in a series of workshops offered this fall using the award-winning MARE curriculum. This workshop will offer new and experienced 4-6th grade teachers and informal educators opportunities to explore cutting-edge ocean science content, hands-on teaching strategies, and experience with inquiry-based science instruction. This workshop will include a lunch-time field trip to the beach to explore the kelp wrack, and a visit to the Birch Aquarium's spectacular kelp tank. The $75 fee includes lunch, coffee break, materials, field trip and parking. Scholarships are available.
