Attention Teachers! FREE Environmental/Water-cycle/Recycling Presentations for your students!
I Love A Clean San Diego provides FREE environmental presentations on recycling, waste reduction and how to keep San Diego's waterways clean, that correlates with CA State Science Education Standards and STAR tests. Help keep San Diego a beautiful and safe place to live through an interactive class presentation or an assembly style format!
Water-cycle presentations use experimentation with the Enviroscape, an interactive watershed model, children learn about our place in the water cycle and how we can harm or help our environment. Subjects covered include the water cycle and watersheds, storm water pollution, waste reduction and recycling.
Recycling presentations cover what can and can not be recycled and why that is important, as well as proper disposal of household hazardous waste (such as batteries from toys). At the end of the classroom presentation students are able to compete against their classmates in the recycling relay!
FREE presentations are available to schools/community groups in Carlsbad, Oceanside, Poway, Chula Vista and South Bay communities, unincorporated areas of San Diego County and other select areas in San Diego. Please call today to see if your school/group qualifies for a FREE presentation. We also provide presentations to schools not covered by the grant areas for a small fee.
