PEAK Student Energy Actions is a no-cost, standards-based educational initiative for students enrolled in grades 4 – 7 that integrates teaching the science of energy with teaching the importance of smart energy management. Through hands-on lab activities and guided instruction, PEAK students are provided a real-world application by which to personally connect with their academic learning in a way that benefits the entire community.
PROGRAM RESOURCES: * Easy to follow Teacher Resource Guidebook with hands-on lab activities * “Tool Kit” of materials sufficient to perform all lessons * Field trips to local power plants * Educational posters * Contests for students * Ongoing support/site visits by PEAK staff * Special events such as PEAK “Kick-Off” Assemblies * Online resources available for PEAK Students and Educators www.peakstudents.org
